Deleting Thing Based Screens

Hi All,

 

I am new to SAP Cloud Application Studio. I have created a solution, a custom Business Object and screens based on Thing Based Navigation. In order to undo certain manual errors, I tried to delete the existing screens and create them again afresh. I had done a similar thing when working on Object based UI and I did not get any errors while deleting the screens there. Whereas here in Thing Based, I deleted the .WCF screen first, WCView screen next and then tried deleting the others. But my TI screen did not get deleted and I got an error as shown below.

It happens only for Thing Inspector screen. Kindly guide how to overcome the above error and completely delete the screens.

Assign Extended Fields in your Web Service

Hi Experts,

 

 

 

I did the follow cenarios in the system:

 

 

 

1 - I created some fields like extended field in the Contract Object.

2 - I created from SAP Cloud Application Studio a Web Service from Business Object "Contract"

 

 

 

When I doing the cenario 2 the extended fields created in the cenario 1 is not display to select fields in web service wizard to Create, Update or Read.

 

 

 

Anybody knows how can I assign the extended field in the Web Service created from Contract Object ?

 

How can I assign the Web Service created in the cenario 2 in the "Service Explorer" work center ?

Or do you have to buy the permanent test tenant to do developments in the SDK?

User should be able to access Quick Create but not WCV

Dear All,

 

I have created a custom quick create for a standard BO  , I wanted that custom quick create to be open  one of the different BO's Custom TI.

 

For example : Custom BO : ABC and its screen ABC.TI has a tab which has a new button , if user clicks it custom quick create of standard BO Opportunity should open.

 

HEnce i created QC , TT and WCV where both are linked.. But i came to know that without assginig rights to user for WVC my quick create also wont open.

 

But user is able to see the WCV , i want user to see only quick create and no WCV..

 

Is this possible?

 

Help is much appriociated!

Data doesn't display on Advanced List Pane in Embedded Component

Hi Experts,

 

I created an Advanced List Pane and attached a List Modification Form to create new entries for the list.

If I click on the New Button, the List Modification Form opens where I can add data. However after I click on OK button, the new entries don't show up on the list. I created a Refresh button and even if I click the Refresh button, then also the list doesn't update with the values.

The OK and Cancel buttons come up by themselves on the List Modification Form. Is there any way we can control them?

Could there be some binding missing?

Refreshing Advanced list pane

Dear all,

 

I have an advanced list pan in one of tab of my TI. User can create the "Opportuynity" and by code i am assingning the opportunity to my tabel ,

but user does not want to press refresh button , is there any way where we can refresh the advanced list pan once the QC is closed?

 

QC i am calling by assigning thing type.

Require more details on "Enable Access Control" feature of Data source.

Hi All,

I have fetched data from BW system and stored it in C4C BO using Webservice.

I am creating a datasource with all the data variables.

I want to enable Access restrictions to this data such that when any C4C user views reports made from this datasource, they see data relevant only to their role.

From the help documentation, I see that I need to check "Enable Access Control" checkbox while creating the datasource.

Unfortunately for my custom datasource, this checkbox is disabled.

The help in the image below, says " To enable access control your BO must contain an association marked as relevant for access control".

AddressBO is my custom BO.

Could anyone help me in understanding the procedure to make data access restricted based on user roles?

Filter Dropdown of Sales Phase based on Sales Cycle.

Dear all,

 

I have created a quick create for opportunity ( need to create custom due to some reason of extensibility explorer limitations)

I have added two fields 1. Sales Cycle and Sales Phase.

 

Sales Phase dropdown should be prepopulated as per fine tuning. Currrently it is showing all the values.

 

Please help!

Create link to a custom Analytic Report on custom UI

Hi Colleagues,

 

Is it a feasible task? Create this link to a specific custom report (regular report based on a custom data source - Business Analytic work center).

I need this as workaround for iPad purpose, embedded reports don't work in iPad.

Getting BW and third party data source into SAP Cloud for customer

Hi Experts.

 

I have an architecture question and would like to know any guidance or pointers to help. We have a requirement to integrate 3rd party data sources to be brought into SAP cloud for sales so that reporting can be driven out of SAP cloud for sales. What is the best approach to do it.

 

Client doesn't want users to go to another site to look for reporting data.

 

Worst case scenario, is there a way to show BW or Third party reports in a separate tab where we can fetch the report data for user or may be a redirect link displays home page of reports under new tab without user leaving the cloud for sales application.

Qry File can not be deleted due to that all objects in solution is in deactive state

Hi All,

 

I have created an Query and added parameter in Wizard , now we needed to add few more parameter in the Query.

Hence we added the parameter in the Query parameter tab when we open the query in SDK.

 

Now after adding that parameter we got an error message hence thought we added something wrong and tried to uncheck the value.

 

But as we click on Query parameter tab it shows an error and we were not able to uncheck the parameter.

 

So we tried to delete the query and create a new one , But when we try to delete the query also we get the pop up with error message like below.

Element Parentnodeproxy name missing and repository file at file path cant be transformed.

 

and due to that we are not even able to activate the BO it self.

 

Any one had this kind of issue? We have raised an incident but if some 1 has came across with this kind of issue can help us.

Dear all,

 

Below is the my BO Design.

 

businessobject Sy_Trade raises Msg1{

  [AlternativeKey] [Label("Trade Id")] element tradeid : BusinessTransactionDocumentID;

  [Label("Building Name")] element buildingidname : LANGUAGEINDEPENDENT_LONG_Name;

Now In an EC i want to fetch all instance of BO SY_TRADE by passing value in element   element BusinessTransactionDocumentReference ( UUID )

I am storing the UUID & ID of Oppotunity in this.

 

So I will assfin this EC in opportunity where i can see the ID and UUID coming by Navigation Binding but when i create a Query (Query by elements )

Please check below screen.

How can I fetch the instances of my BO by passing value from one of its node.

 

I don't think it should be impossible... I am getting Exception on Web ui after creating this Query.

Is it possible to navigate to Custom TI screen on click of Work center instead of OWL

Hi,

 

We have a custom BO and custom screens for it.

We have created one custom work center for the BO, on click of which it opens the OWL screen, but we want to open the TI screen on click of

the work center instead of OWL. Wanted to know is it possible to do this?

ICM_HTTP_PROXY_UNAUTHORIZED

Hi

 

I'm connecting from SAP CRM cloud to a PI system.

 

I have configured a Business Partner rpelciation to SAP ERP.

I have open for the URL globally so the PI service can be exposed. With filtering from the ICM.

I have created a hostname and a certificate for the ICM server. I can access the server remove thru the port 49002 using https and it works.

The server certificate is self signed and uploaded it to the trusted certificate store. The trust store now seems to be locked by the webservice user.

 

When I try to test the connection with the "Check connection" in the cloud system i get

Error accessing service; Service Ping ERROR: Error when calling SOAP Runtime functions: SRT: Processing error in Internet Communication Framework: ("ICF Error when receiving the response: ICM_HTTP_PROXY_UNAUTHORIZED") ()

I cannot see anything in the http logging information, which had expected that I could. I can see that I'm getting data i use the http request.

 

I have use other port/DNS names and it gives

Any pointers to what I have missed.

How to pass data to Quick create when you call it from custom Screen ( Opportunity Quick Create)

Dear All,

 

I have been suceesfull calling in Quick create of opportunity in a Custom screen of a custom BO..

 

But i want to create the link between my custom BO and opportunity ( i willl store opportunity Id and its instatcne as an association in my custom BO )...

 

But I am not able to pass the data...Below are the steps i have followed to call the Quick create.

 

Step 1 : Created a Button with associated Thing type of Opportunity , Semantic Quick Create.

Step 2 : Configure the OBN ( I checked in the standard the Account screen to Opportunity Quick create that is using Thing based OBN but if i choose the same no operation of CreatewithRefrence is available)

Hence i am trying with BO Based OBN.

Step 3 : Passing the BO name and UUID in the Outport..

Step 4 : As you can see in the Fiurst step i have pasted the name of Inport of quickcreate.. IS it suppose to come automatically.?

As there is just plain text field. Neverthe less i have assigned the inport there.

 

Result : As soon as quick create opens the exception comes.. .and as always that is a genric exception

 

Pls guide...
